ukiyo Q1 2023 Report

By now you've probably made yourself accustomed to the ukiyo project and are likely a member of the community already. This report aims to detail everything that has been carried out, the scope of work and objectives looking towards the future, and provide you with a primer on what to do, and what comes next.

Timeline

March 2023

  • Implementation of Snapshot and Mirror web3 infrastructure. Forum is live for discourse within the community
  • Discussions and preparations for the public sale will be carried out by ukiyo Labs during this period. The team will entertain proposals from Launchpads and Institutional Investors
  • Private sale is expected to complete by the end of the month (if not already)

April 2023

  • Testing of the ukiyo Staking DApp
  • Elections carried out to assign Trustees and a Management Committee through the DAO
  • Treasury multisig keys assigned to key individuals for set terms
  • Panel discussions and AMAs with the community
  • PR and marketing push to enhance the ukiyo brand

May 2023

  • Discussions with respective DEXs and CEXs regarding the launch of the $KXO token with functional liquidity pools
  • Engagement with the community regarding the outcome of those discussions
  • Upgrades, audits, and enhancements to the current version of the Protocol

June 2023

  • ukiyo Labs will begin negotiations with partners and networks to develop relationships, including DeFi ecosystem partnerships to enhance ukiyo's position in the industry — collaboration and connecting to other DeFi markets
  • First curated projects to be listed for prospective ukiyo Ventures users. We expect the first projects to be mature real-world businesses currently operating that require liquidity injections. Users will be able to take part in Series A, B, C, and D funding. This ensures a low-risk environment for the community. No start-ups will be available to fund during the first year
  • Proposals may be considered for parachaining to a second blockchain

July 2023

  • More AMAs and discussions with the community, as well as press releases and an aggressive media drive
  • Development begins on a Safety Module to secure the ukiyo Treasury from insolvency issues, in collaboration with partners that may include InsurAce or other vendors

Q3 2023

  • Launch of the Ventures DApp
  • The protocol welcomes the first batch of investors to a select few projects to be funded using crypto assets

Getting started

If you already hold $KXO tokens you're probably aware that they're vested and secured in a smart contract for 9 months from the date of purchase. To make use of your investment, there are several actions you can take:

  • As soon as the Staking module is deployed to mainnet, you can stake your tokens at a 1:1 ratio in return for vKXO and earn rewards based on the dynamic APY% the Vault offers at any given time
  • If you'd like to become a more active participant, you can wrap your vKXO to gKXO to participate in governance via Snapshot. The Staking module will show how much voting power you have based on your staked tokens
  • If you don't own any $KXO or would rather not stake, you can passively participate through our community channels or the Forum and have your say on things you feel are important
  • If you're not up to speed with everything yet, we suggest you read the Whitepaper or Litepaper in full, along with the documentation
  • Lastly, remember to spread the word! Exposure for ukiyo is important to help achieve the community's goals and objectives

Smart contracts

On Etherscan or our GitHub you'll find several repositories, including the contract for the $KXO token, where you can learn about its mechanics — the ALS and tax system, the fixed supply, and the wallet names and addresses assigned in accordance with the tokenomics model.

The private-sale vesting smart contract can be viewed to ensure transparency to the community. The branch is protected and unchangeable due to its one-time use case.

The ukiyo Ventures smart contract is partially open for public viewing, as it is not yet audited and is undergoing enhancement before deployment to mainnet. The team aims to release it as open-source code following the launch of the Ventures DApp.

The staking module is being developed and audited; its contract will be published on launch day.
